Hello Convox Community,

As summer continues to unfold, we're excited to share the latest developments from Convox. Our team has been hard at work delivering new features and enhancements to make your Convox experience even more powerful and efficient. This month's updates are packed with improvements designed to streamline your workflow and elevate your infrastructure management.

Feature Highlights

Console

Enhanced Console Logs - We've made significant improvements to our console logs. These updates enhance the loading and streaming performance of log windows and modals, making it easier for you to monitor and troubleshoot your applications. Additionally, you can now intuitively copy portions of logs with highlighted context, simplifying the process of exporting and sharing log data.

v3 Racks

  • Convox Managed RDS - You can now effortlessly create and manage MySQL, MariaDB, and Postgres RDS instances directly from your convox.yml. This includes native support for read replicas and options to create databases from snapshots. Additionally, v3 Managed RDS allows you to import any RDS database, whether Convox-created or not, into your rack for passive access or full management.
  • Convox Managed Elasticache - We are thrilled to announce support for AWS Elasticache Redis and Memcached resources directly from your convox.yml. This feature enables seamless integration and management of these caching solutions, enhancing your application's performance and scalability.
  • Additional Balancer Options - We've introduced support for natively configuring UDP balancers and service ports. This update allows you to efficiently handle UDP traffic within your applications, expanding your configuration options.

v2 Racks

  • AutoScaling Update - We've updated the autoscaler to support manual service scaling commands while auto scaling is enabled. This enhancement facilitates scenarios such as prescaling and ramp-up use cases, giving you more control and flexibility.
