v3 Racks:

  • Enhanced BuildKit Caching: We’ve improved BuildKit’s image caching for multi-service applications, reducing errors and speeding up builds. These enhancements are especially valuable for applications with shared dependencies, ensuring faster and more reliable deployments.
  • Custom User Data for EC2 Instances: Take additional control of your infrastructure with the ability to include custom scripts and commands during EC2 instance initialization. Whether you need tailored setups or advanced configurations, this feature allows you to personalize your workloads with ease.
  • Multi-Line Service Annotations: Define complex, multi-line annotations within your convox.yml file. This new feature provides greater flexibility for advanced service configurations, making it easier to manage intricate use cases.

v2 Racks:

  • Custom ECS Container Stop Timeout: We’ve introduced a new EcsContainerStopTimeout rack parameter, allowing you to set a custom timeout duration for ECS containers. This ensures more graceful shutdowns for applications requiring extra time, such as those with active user sessions or complex cleanup tasks.
