Feature Highlights:

Console:

  • GitHub SSO:
    We've officially launched GitHub SSO on the Convox Console, streamlining the authentication process to get you started faster and more securely.
  • General UI Updates:
    We've continued rolling out improvements to both the look and feel of the Convox Console. Expect more intuitive navigation and a sleeker, more user-friendly interface designed to enhance your workflow efficiency.

v2:

  • Support for New Graviton ARM Instances:
    We've added support for General Purpose m7g and Memory-Optimized r7g Amazon EC2 Instances.
  • Option to Enable Encryption on the Default Shared EFS Volume:
    Introduced rack parameter EnableSharedEFSVolumeEncryption to encrypt the rack's default-created EFS volume, utilized with Convox app volumes, enhancing security for these volumes.
  • Options to Configure Docker Image Pruning Settings:
    Introduced rack parameter the PruneOlderImagesInHour and PruneOlderImagesCronRunFreq parameters for a more customizable automated Docker image management.
  • Option to Enable Read-Only Root Filesystem for ECS:
    Introduced rack parameter EnableContainerReadonlyRootFilesystem to allow ECS containers to operate with a read-only root filesystem, enhancing security by preventing some write actions. However, this may necessitate adjustments to certain configurations to prevent disruptions.
  • Option to Enable DynamoDB Deletion Protection and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR):
    Introduced rack parameters DynamoDbTableDeletionProtectionEnabled and DynamoDbTablePointInTimeRecoveryEnabled for additional security measures on DynamoDB tables.

  • Update to Kubernetes Version 1.28:
    We've upgraded to Kubernetes version 1.28, encompassing a comprehensive update across the board. This includes the Kubernetes cluster itself, kube-proxy, the EBS (Elastic Block Store) controller, and CoreDNS. These updates ensure enhanced performance, improved security, and access to the latest features for a more efficient and secure container orchestration experience.
  • Update AWS Racks' VPC-CNI Plugin to Version 1.16.4-eksbuild.2:
    We've upgraded the AWS racks with the latest AWS VPC CNI plugin, enhancing VPC performance significantly. This upgrade provides improved network performance, increased efficiency, and greater scalability for your applications. Enjoy the benefits of the most advanced network interface management technology, ensuring a smoother and more reliable experience.
